Drat! Anyway, if a dream induces horror or terror, it’s a nightmare. The specific images are not how we tell; we tell by its effect on a person. This is what Pratchett was riffing on in all those scenes where a muscular guy with a sword says, “I’m your worst nightmare,” and the other person says, “What, the one with the carrots and the bedroom slippers?”
Think you meant to post at here. But yeah… it makes sense that nightmares are pretty personal.
