20051 / 50000 words. 40% done!

Routines. I’m thinking that routines are something I need (well, no, I take that back; I know that routines are what I need). So I’m thinking that life will go like this:

Weekdays:

1. 6:30am – 7:00pm = Work + daily commute. Think about writing on the commute.
2. 7:00pm – 8:00pm = Dinner, chillaxing.
3. 8:30pm – 9:00pm = Shower.
4. 9:00pm – 11:00pm = Write, which is enough time for me to usually get 2k words in.

Weekends: Dunno. But at least 2k words will probably be involved per day, maybe double.

I’m going to end up one of those write-every-day folks, but I think that’s what I need. I’m not sure how I’m going to handle the times when everything goes tits up mental-wise (nothing will ever solve the bipolar). Probably need to have make-up days? Or just let the weekend productivity take up the slack? I dunno yet.

As I gain experience writing, I’m starting to write longer. This is good, because more material can be cut and molded and all that. My scenes are starting to extend past 2000 words each, which is really nice.

I’ve also gone back to third-person omniscient. It’s easier for me, strangely enough. I don’t know if it’ll be easier for my readers, but at least I’m not combining that with present tense.
