I have started the twinging again. It’s been fleeing from me when I try to grab it and look it in the eye. So far as I can tell, it’s mostly well-laid underlying anxiety caused by how my father reacted to any kind of situation involving a deadline or things that must be done. Mainly he reacted by exploding and, if he had time, physically and/or emotionally torturing his “loved ones.”
I may have to write a war story tomorrow if it gets any worse. Or maybe later on today.
Yesterday’s items:
-
Cleaning something out. Not at all. Possibly restarting my sojourn on controlling my diet through MyNetDiary calorie counting. They’ve added new features since last I reviewed them, including a local database, control over icons for manually entered foods, and recipe editing. (Available for iPhone and Android.)
-
Cooking/baking/etc. something for myself. I only managed garlic butter shrimp rice in the rice cooker. Trust me, this is barely anything at all.
-
Reading/watching something entertaining. I finished, in a couple days, Catherine Jinks’ Genius Wars. I’m pleased about that, and doubly pleased about being able to update my reading status on GoodReads as I move through a book (I avoid spoilers as much as possible). I’m now in the process of reading Terry Pratchett’s new City Watch Discworld book, Snuff. Feel free to follow me on GoodReads!

Reading/watching/doing something educational. Nothing. Kind of looking forwards to SFScope’s Terra Nova review from last night. There ought to be something learned second-hand from storytelling disasters. Also, I compiled all my written reviews on GoodReads.
