Three good things:
1. This exists and whoof, I think I’m going to be baking once the heat of August is over and done with, or perhaps even before then….
2. I highly recommend the following stories: Ironheart by Alec Austin, The Silk Merchant by Ken Liu, Armless Maidens of the American West by Genevieve Valentine, and The House of Aunts by Zen Cho.
3. Simpson & Vail save the day when I have no sweet desserts to partake of and need something caffeine-free: Red Velvet Cupcake Rooibos and Vanilla Spice Rooibos.
A thing I like about myself: I’m intelligent, if I would actually push the “fool” act out of the way. Well, that’s the thing about “things I like about myself”; I can’t help but add a dash of self-criticism into the mix. :/
Could the “fool” be life-saving as well? I think of the Tarot card character: able to look at things from many angles, upset the status quo. Certainly your writing here would be less compelling without the trickster fool poking up its head periodically.
If only the fool I was talking about was actually a trickster instead of a fool fool…
