I’m behind by quite a bit. This will be a very writey weekend after all. I left myself on a cliffhanger because I frankly didn’t know what to do next. I’m currently writing two different scenarios, and will probably end up writing more, because I’ve reached the truly muddy part of the middle where all the possibilities explode.

The key seems to be following my characters’ motivations all the way through, and not trying to force plot on top of them (it’s so hard not to when under deadline). I’ve done that enough that I may need to backtrack several scenes and rewrite the beats.

I also need to be more careful about when I write. I’m tired enough that I totally forgot about my hero’s disability, which led to some interesting back-tracking in the fight scene.
