NaNoWriMo Day 30

50164 / 50000 words. 100% done!

Squeaked by! And with a little more words, finished the story in a Draft Zero kind of way! I’m so frigging glad it’s done now.

Things I’m going to do tomorrow and over the next few days.

1. Outline what happened from MEMORY. Boo yeah. This will tell me if I’ve actually gotten anything memorable down. And I have, towards the beginning, which I’ve already started outlining in the craziness that is my current Scapple scribblings.

2. Add to the outline some more plot thread and characters. I think. It’s already getting kind of crowded, but there are some things that won’t be done justice without more fleshed-out secondary characters, both protag-sided and antag-sided.

3. Modify the outline so that all events are connected and make sense.

4. And then I’m setting things aside for a while to concentrate on something else. Like research. I swear I’m going to get 40k of SOMETHING to give to John Klima to go over.

So what I’m doing is more assembling a skeleton rather than starting out with one, but oh well. It’s been fun and I’m going to keep going!
