Three good things. I cried way too much today and—NO WAIT GOOD THINGS.
1. I received a special T-shirt in the mail for my support of the Crossed Genres kickstarter. It’s lovely and cow-themed, which there are not enough t-shirts about. My wardrobe for tomorrow is made up!
2. I cooked for myself again! Shanghai Golden Fried Rice. I forgot the shrimps though. :( Oh well, it’s a dish that can be enjoyed by itself alongside some veggies. Granted all I have on hand are sugar snap peas, but that’s enough for today. Must get better about veggies.
3. Sailor Moon opening theme music keeps me going. I count that as a good thing.
4. I learned about the Snowflake method of jackhammering story structure problems (but in a thoughtful and organized manner). Applicable no matter what kind of story structure you believe in. I will try to apply this to the current iteration of Seal Tales.
Thing I like about myself: NOTHING.
I’m going to bed.
Reminder: you are responsible and persistent.
Things you like about yourself: You are open and honest when you post, even when you can’t make your quota of three.
You probably know that your perspective gets altered sometimes – makes it hard to see the good things.
You should also know you will win out eventually – which is why you keep trying. Keep trying. It’s what I do. Heck, what else is there to do? Giving up is not an option. Thinking of you.
Glad you found a plotting method which sings to you. I’ve seen that one, not my style but it could very well work for you. Give it a good try. (I use Dramatica, which asks an awful lot in the way of a learning curve, and makes you ask yourself a whole boatload of questions, but helps me break things up into a small piece at a time. Since stuff tends to fall out of my head, it works for me. I call it atomizing.)
